Birth of a wooden barn: a timber frame journey part 3. In this installment of the project overview I am assembling and and raising the timber frame bents by myself with the aid of a gin pole, shear legs and a tractor. All of these bents are pegged together using white ash pegs and are mostly made on a table saw and cut to octagon shape. As you can see we are very close to completing this building and as soon as I am healed enough from my fall I will be out there in full force again. This project is a massive undertaking but it has been worth it every step of the way, even a shattered ankle is a worthy price to say that I have lived and have created.
