गोरखपुर से 90 किलोमीटर दूर नौतनवा कस्बे में पैदा हुए सतीश आनंद के पिता स्कूल में एक चपरासी थे और सड़क किनारे ही एक झोपड़ी में रहा करते थे| आज भले ही सतीश एक author और successful trainer हैं, पर एक वक्त था जब सतीश डॉक्टर बनाना चाहते थे| अपने बेटे को डॉक्टर बनाने के लिए सतीश के पिता ने झोपड़ी को गिरवी रख दिया था, पर सतीश Medical Exam क्लियर नहीं कर पाए और अपनी Family को आर्थिक रूप से मजबूत करने के लिए घर से भाग कर लखनऊ आ गये| यहाँ सतीश ने एक ढाबे पर काम किया| इसी दौरान वो किसी के कहने पर सिकन्दराबाद आये, जहाँ उनके साथ धोखा हुआ और वो फिर से सड़क पर आ गये| यहाँ पर सतीश ने सड़क से कचरे उठाने का काम शुरू किया| इसके बावजूद उन्होंने कभी give up नहीं किया और वो hard work करते रहे| इसी hard work के चलते उन्हें एक Call center में नौकरी मिली| उनका hard work और उनका never give up करने का attitude उन्हें आगे ले गया और वो एक successful trainer बने|
