The first four SD60Fs were built for CN in 1985 and numbered 9900-9903. After extensive testing 60 more were built in 1989 and numbered 5504-5563 and the first four were re-numbered 5500-5503. They are still in use today and are seen at work in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.
