Title: That's Not Right
Scripture: Jonah 4: 1-11
Jonah is a lesson in disobedience. Jonah preaches at Nineveh telling them that the
city would be destroyed in 40 days because of their evil ways. Afterwards Jonah goes
outside the city to watch the destruction in the extreme heat. God instructs a plant to
grow to protect Jonah then has worms eat it. Meanwhile, the King orders everyone to
pray and wear sack cloth. God accepted their repentance and didn't destroy the city.
God reprimanded Jonah because he had a bad attitude three (3) times: 1) tried to limit
God's grace; 2) had anger issues with God; and 3) upset that the plant was destroyed
and didn't care that the city of Nineveh was spared.
