Yes, junkyard Vortec 062 castings. I know, I know... But I wanted to share this video to explain how you can check your heads for cracks yourself. This is not to cast doubt against machine shops - they're experts - but there are some things we can do ourselves to prevent us from spending money we should keep in our pockets. I used MET-L-CHEK's VP-30 Penetrant and D-70 Developer to check these heads for cracks. I used regular break clean to prep them before application. I could not find them locally but I ordered them online:
