March 11, 2012 marked the six month passing of actor Andy Whitfield, the original Spartacus from season one of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand". He died of non-hodgkins lymphoma on Sept 11, 2011. He made an indelible mark on me and millions of other viewers with his beautiful portrayal of the Thracian warrior who was the leader of a slave revolt. He is deeply missed. I dedicate this to his loving wife Vashti and the two young children he left behind. He was an inspiration to so many and became a true warrior not only on screen but in his own life as well. He is a true champion. Just want to add that from a vary reliable source Andy was born Oct 17, 1971.
