Baljit Parmar in this video explores the D Company's link in Ahmedabad and the rise and fall of Lateef Khan, an aide of Dawood. The legendary Lateef Khan who fought elections in local Ahmedabad polls in 5 wards simultaneously interestingly was also a renowned smuggler who was picked up by Dawood and used for his assignments. The daring daylight executions by Lateef Khan and some of his aides got them in the eye of the storm with Gujrat authorities turning hostile.
Lateef Khan had to escape to Dubai from where he returned years later and started his operations from New Delhi this time on. However, luck ran out for the smuggler turned politician turned underworld operative as Gujrat police vowed to have this criminal and laid a trap and got him arrested. During one of the court hearings, Lateef Khan was killed in a fake encounter and hence came the end of a notorious smuggler who got involved into the D company only to lose out in his life. The story also connects several dots between Mumbai and Ahmedabad the cities that share trade and now also shared a hitherto unknown underworld connect.
