Would you recognize greatness if you saw it for sale? That's the (literal) million dollar question that Terry Finley and his team faced at the 2019 Fasig-Tipton Yearling Sale.
In this clip from ABR's interview with West Point Thoroughbred's President & CEO, Terry Finley, he and sportscaster Lindsay Czarniak discuss his initial impressions of Flightline—the horse that would go one to win all of his first five race starts.
As Terry tells us, Flightline looked like a true Thoroughbred and was fit with a presence and a swagger, commanding the attention of the room. So much so that Terry couldn't help but purchase Flightline, no matter the cost.
Well his "gamble" seems to have paid off as Flightline remains undefeated headed into the Breeders' Cup World Championships on November 5th.
