Theodore Roosevelt Speaker Series: TR, Fascinating Relatives - Saints and Sinners
Many assume that the Roosevelts are a political family. In fact, Roosevelts have been involved in every aspect of American life, both sunny and shady. This talk will highlight sportsmen, soldiers, business people, artisans, religious figures, inventors, a candy maker, along with others who are less admirable but no less interesting, bringing to life many colorful Roosevelts who have been overshadowed by their more famous political relatives. Our guest speaker is TR's great-grandson, Tweed Roosevelt, chairman of the Theodore Roosevelt Institute and University Professor at Long Island University.
