It is the day before Sonu’s birthday, and a bully, whose birthday it is, taunts Sonu as he is wearing the Best Birthday wrist band. Sonu tells Sandhya that he needs a bigger cake than the bully’s, so that he can win the Best Birthday band. Sandhya takes them to a bakery to get the biggest cake for Sonu. Sonu orders the cake and requests it be delivered the next day. Meanwhile, Chulbul, Chulbuli’s brother visits her, as it is Chulbuli’s birthday also the next day, and they decide to steal Sonu’s cake.

The story revolves around the three children of Vishnu, and his late wife, Sandhya. When the children get naughty, Mrs. Anand, the grandmother, decides to ship them off to a hostel. Sad, the children pray for their mother to be returned to them, and miraculously, their prayers are answered. Sandhya comes back as an angel with magical powers. Gili Gappa showcases the hilarious situations where Sandhya and the children battle everyday situations and occasionally, bad witches and wizards.
