I wrote this piece as an expression of grief.
This piece is essentially in 17edo, but the intervals are smoothed out to a nearly-equal just intonation (NEJI) scale in order to make the timbre sound a bit smoother. The particular scale used is a rotation of a scale by Zhea Erose:
130:135:141:147:153:159:166:173:180:188:195:203:212:220:230:240:250:260
Overcast is intended to be at home in the Locrian mode on B, though it wanders to other scales and modes.
