4K Australia and Sydney by Drone - Gliding
#008 features aerial cinematography by David Moore, co-founder of MTSDrones.com. Shot entirely on a DJI Mavic Pro 3.
Locations:
Scene 1 – Bondi Beach. We approach from the northern headland and pass over Ben Buckler Point and Brighton Lookout. Continuing forward to where the waves break onto the sand we pass Bondi Pavilion then south until reaching the rock pool known as Bondi Icebergs. Here we pause beneath the Bondi to Bronte walk to watch the waves crash onto the cliffs and pool.
Soundtrack: ‘Fly On Clouds’ by La Repeticion.
Scene 2 – Castle Rock Beach - Nestled beneath the ocean cliff of Clontarf on Sydney's Northern Beaches we glide over the tree lined waters edge towards The Spit Bridge. Our long reveal shot is complimented with a scene looking toward Balmoral Beach and the Sydney skyline in the distance - these directly facing Castle Rock. The scene closes with a panorama of Grotto Point.

Scene 3 – On the north western outskirts of Sydney we take a flight over Thornleigh towards Pennant Hills and the Lane Cove National Park. Anyone thinking Sydney does not have many trees may have to rethink after watching this.
Soundtrack: ‘Dream Moments’ by Maximus Sound,
Scene 4 – On the banks of the Parramatta River and located within the historic Thomas Walker Estate at Concord West is the Rivendell School. Opened in September 1893 as a free convalescent hospital, the name was chosen because in the famous J.R.R Tolkein novel 'The Hobbit' Rivendell is a place to rest and recuperate – a sanctuary for those on difficult journeys.

Scene 5 – In the main channel of the western section of Sydney harbour is the gorgeous Gong-ul Island. Upstream of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, adjacent to the Sydney suburb of Drummoyne, the island was first renamed Dawes Island by European Settlers and later renamed Spectacle because of its shape, being then two small islands joined by a narrow isthmus. Today the island is used by the Royal Australian Navy to house the Naval Repository, including a collection of relics and artefacts, ranging from small items to vessels.

Scene 6 – Cammeray. On the western edge of Sydney's Middle Harbour we travel into the bay bordered by Tunks Park in Cammeray - and travel right through to Long Gully Bridge in Northbridge known for its decorative castle turrets on either end of the bridge.
Soundtrack: ‘The Lure Of The Moon’ by Ivalyo Tsvetanov.
Scene 7 - Prospect Reservoir. In our final scene for this edition of Gliding, we drift through the pine trees that line the road entry to Prospect Reservoir whilst listening to the song of native Australian Currawong birds.
Soundtrack: 'The Light Of Morning' by Mikhail Chugunov.
