The first televised Walt Disney World Happy Easter parade aired on ABC April 7, 1985. The parade took place in the Magic Kingdom at 3:00pm and aired on ABC stations across the country at 7:00pm that evening. Hosted by Joan Lunden and Rick Dees the festivities included the Oak Ridge Boys, magician Doug Henning, Soap opera star Jack Wagner and the New Edition with a special appearance by 12 Radio City Music Hall Rockettes.
