Vietnam War veteran Monte Dvorak talks about his experiences. Dvorak was with the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970. He had worked and been raised on a farm and ranched. Dvorak did basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash. Then, he went to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland and went into track and mobile mechanics. He did maintenance on howitzers, and was trained on replacing parts on armored personnel carriers.
