Every community has its eccentric or mysterious characters; Stroudsburg had Sam Collins. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Sam and his wife gave everyone something to talk about. Join us as we learn about this long-forgotten personality and his surprisingly important long-term impact on our community.
Bill Weitzmann is a Stroudsburg resident who taught at Stroudsburg High School for 46 years and had a photography business for 27 years. He was also an adjunct professor of photography at East Stroudsburg University. In 2015, Weitzmann served on the operating committee for Stroudsburg’s Bicentennial and was the editor of the magazine published for the event, "Stroudsburg at 200."
