Even if you are just the precious audience with careers of your own choices, watch The Deuce. It's a brilliant piece of history, beautifully portrayed on television every week, that shows the struggles, passion, hardships, friendships, love, and loyalty between a group of people who have gone through experiences that are just too tough to digest for mere mortals like myself. The current season 3 will be it's last and it is kind of rare to see a good story being told coherently, with a beginning, a middle and an end.
The show portrays a very realistic picture of the LGBTQ community back in the 70s and over the three seasons had a number of queer characters. However, since the show tells the story about a particular issue, the queer characters had been something of a come and go, just like the non-queer characters have been.
I have been rooting for Abby played by Margarita Levieva, ever since her first episode on the show, coz that's what me and my broken, can't tell who's queer, gaydar does, and while I have a feeling that Abby's current friskiness may just be temporary, I am still happy to see her "having fun".
