Chenetra Washington, a 32-year-old mother of six, has been charged with deserting her 3-year-old son in a Walmart, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.
Police documents, obtained by HLN, state Washington later "admitted that she left the store with a friend, went to an apartment and had sex." She also told detectives that she left her son at the store "with the hopes that someone would take him and take care of him better than she could."
