This is the 1:400 scale Gemini Jets U.S. Airways Express / Mesa Airlines ERJ-145 . This model was produced by Gemini Jets in 2005, wearing the standard US Airways livery in the late 1990’s
The aircraft was powered by two Rolls Royce AE 3007 turbofans, producing up to about 7,500 lbf or nearly 40 kN each. Each aircraft can hold up to a maximum of 44 in a single class configuration. This aircraft has a normal cruise speed of 833 km/h or 450 kn, with a range over 3,060 km or 1,650 nmi.
This aircraft was built and delivered to Mesa Airlines, who were operating a shuttle service under the US Airways Express name in June 2001 for use on regional routes, with the registration of N841MJ wearing the standard dark blue US Airways Express Livery of the late 1990’s.
The aircraft was purchased by Freedom Airlines, who were operating regional services for Delta airlines in 2005. With this change of owners, came a change livery. The aircraft sported the “Colors in Motion” livery from the early 2000’s.
This aircraft wore these colors for the rest of it’s career with Freedom Airlines, from 2005 to to the bankruptcy and failure of Freedom Airlines in 2010. Sometime after this point the aircraft was stored and then scrapped, but the dates of these occurrences are unknown
