Installing Caltracs on a S10. Should have ordered these a long time ago. Haven't been able to tell how well they work. Also I have to figure out how to set up the pre-load for them, so they work right at the race track. If they ever open back up. Hopefully this video will help you figure out how to install Caltracs on your S10.
Jack the vehicle up and place jack stands under the frame, let the suspension hang. Drop the shock mount, and replace it with the mount provided in the Caltrac kit.Then Remove the front spring hanger bolts and then replace the front bushings. Clean the holes out so the new bushings provided in the kit will fit. Press the new bushings in and install the front bracket (don't know what to call it). Be sure to grease everything while installing. Reinstall the springs to the hangers. Finally, compress the suspension to where it is going to be sitting as would be on the ground. Install the connecting rod to the front bracket first, then to the rear. Grease them because you'll be turning them adjusting the preload.
