Back before the internet, specifically the world wide web, really took hold, people met up in smaller, localized online communities known as Bulletin Board Systems. They would dial in to these computers directly and interact. 3 Old Tech Dudes take you through one that Timmy has been running online via telnet since 2008.
We discuss Synchronet BBS, a couple of the Seth Able Robinson doors (Legend Of The Red Dragon and LORD II), and touch on one of the DreamWARE doors. We have a look around Backwood Realm BBS (Timmy's Synchronet BBS) and Sursum Corda! BBS, a Maximus BBS running on top of IBM OS/2 Warp (yes, really!)
Want to log into the board yourself? Telnet to bwrbbs.ddns.net!
