Left 4 Dead 2: Remastered is a fan-made improved version of Valve Software's classic zombie shooter, rebuilt on the latest iteration of Source Engine. This was a personal project that took roughly four months of programming work, modeling and mapping edits, to restore game content in the newer engine. This will not be publicly released due to legal constraints.
Some features include:
- Dynamic lighting & world shadows
- Upgraded audio system for weapon sound fidelity
- Improved character animations
- Depth-of-field visual effects
- Full third-person camera support, a community favorite
- Resolved bugs from original shipped release (third-person shotgun sounds, anyone?)
- 4K-ready UI/UX support
- 64-bit compatibility
