This video is our 29th video on our exploration of the railroading hobby. This is the ninth video for our second layout.
This video is to answer one of the questions we had and also see a lot on some of the forums. It is common for new hobbyists, or people new to DCC, to want to know how many trains can be controlled at once with one DCC command station and when will you need a power booster.
We have a Digitrax Zephyr beginner's command station and no power booster. I have noticed some problems which might be due to a lack of power or may be just a lack of sufficient power drops to the track. I decided to experiment by adding locomotives one at a time until we noticed a loss of power. This video shows the result.
