I decided to remix/remaster this piece and re-upload it, because the mixing on the initial upload was pretty bad. Special thanks to mosfez from the Xenharmonic Alliance discord server for advising me on improving the mix!
This is a piece of music in just intonation, using the ancient Greek enharmonic scale. I specifically use the tuning suggested by Archytas. If E=1/1, the tones in the scale are:
1/1 - 28/27 - 16/15 - 4/3 - 3/2 - 14/9 - 8/5 - 2/1
I do not leave this heptatonic scale during the piece. The key signature is very approximate, and is an artifact from me originally sketching most of the piece in a subset of 34edo. Except for the vGb=16/15 and vDb=8/5, the rest of the tones are present in the diatonic scale of Archytas, so the accidentals can be thought of as modifications from this. The G and D are flattened sufficiently that they form a 5/4 (just major third) with the tones immediately above them in the scale.
Some measures are played live instead of sequenced; there are some mismatches between the score video and the audio during those measures. There are some weird glitches that showed up when MuseScore output the score to video (like the glissando in m. 19) that I didn't feel like taking the extra time and effort to try fixing.
