God is With Us, I Shall Not Be Afraid
1. Understanding How Faith Brings Victory Over Fear
2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear (timidity and
cowardice), but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
• Fear – anxiety, depression, torment, intimidation and insecurity
• If you find yourself afraid, you will find yourself not believing God

4:40 “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”
• Identify Fear – not knowing what the fear is, is what gives it power
• Once the fear is identified, we must attack it with God’s promises

8:25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?”
2. I Refuse to Fear Because the Lord is With Me
Ex 17:7 “Is the LORD with us, or not
Num 14:9 do not rebel against the LORD; and do not fear the people
of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been
removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them."

26:24 I am the God of your father Abraham; Do not fear, for I am
with you I will bless you, and multiply your descendants
Ps 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me
Is 43:5 "Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west. (Fearing for your children)
Ps 118:6-7 The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do
to me? 7 The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on
my enemies.

3. Because He Will Never Leave Us, the Fear of Shame is Broken
Ps
27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then
the Lord will take care of me. (He will never leave you)
Heb 13:5-6 (NLT) For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never
abandon you. 6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?

10:11 whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame
Ps 25:3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced or shamed
Is 54:4 Fear not, for you will not be put to shame
Josh 1:5,9 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of
your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you
nor forsake you. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good
courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed (frighten, terrified, bullied,
discouraged, dishearted, depressed, oppress), for the Lord is with
the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

20:11 (NLT) But the Lord stands beside me like a great warrior.
Before him my persecutors will stumble they cannot defeat me.
They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated put to shame.
